Welcome to an exciting new feature on Makeup Savvy!
At the beginning of the year I decided that I wanted to take Makeup Savvy back to its roots a little! More bargains, more dupes, more freebie news! So while I will be incorporating more low-cost products and dupes into my everyday content I thought a weekly round-up of current beauty bargains would be a good idea.
As there are some amazing post-Christmas sale bargains still around I thought I'd start by sharing them! Side note - I picked up the below Stila Liquid Eyeshadow Set full price before Christmas and it's just amazing! The Maple & Castor Oil Shampoo is also one of my cold weather favourites that is generally quite hard to get hold of, so I'd give it a try if you love good scented hair products.
I really hope you enjoy this new series and find some bargains!

Aside from the hundreds if not thousands of new beauty releases we will see throughout 2019 I thought today I'd share the products that either came out only recently or in 2018 that I've had my eye on. These are the products that I want in my collection and I'm excited to try!

The Jaclyn Hill X Morphe Eyeshadow Palette
Since Morphe landed on Cult Beauty in 2018 it's a brand that's been very much on my radar. I love their smaller palettes and I can't get enough of their Continuous Setting Spray and affordable makeup brushes. I also recently picked up the sell out and not to mention incredibly hard to get hold of James Charles X Morphe Palette for my 12-year-old niece (spoilt, I know!).
While the JC palette is without a doubt too bright for my own makeup tastes I was beyond impressed with the formulas and out of this world pigmentation, so much so that I decided there and then that I needed The Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette in my life.
The palette does contain a few brights but on the whole is packed full of neutral shades and gorgeous shimmers and from swatches I've seen I have a feeling it's on par with Morphe's collab with James Charles. I'm really looking forward to adding this palette to my collection!

Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Cleansing Ritual
Next up, an early 2019 launch that instantly went on my Cult Beauty wishlist! Being a fan of both Charlotte Tilbury makeup and skincare I'm generally lusting after most items, however, I'm definitely all about the double cleanse life so this cleansing duo needs to be in my bathroom cabinet a-sap.
For me, cleansing is one of the most important steps in my skincare routine, keeping my complexion clear, so a first cleanse with a citrus and coconut oil based melting oil followed by a deep cleansing yet balancing charcoal 2nd cleanse has me swooning. Skincare may be dull for some but I'm truly excited to add this into my routine some time in 2019.

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette in Pillow Talk
Another Charlotte Tilbury product on my wish list, actually I'm crossing my fingers that it will come back in stock, is the stunning Pillow Talk Luxury Eyeshadow Palette. Already loving both the Pillow Talk lipstick and liner along with adoring Luxury Palettes from Charlotte Tilbury this is a total match made in heaven for me.
I have a feeling the blush neutrals with a hint of shimmer will be perfect for pretty daytime eyes and I just know I will get a lot of wear from this palette as I do with the 3 other Luxury Palettes I own. Four shades for £39.00 is expensive but I seriously can't resist this one!

While I've vowed 2019 will be the year I put an end to unnecessary foundation purchases, this is a foundation I keep seeing in many beauty gurus round-up posts for 2018 for being on the best drugstore foundations. So for £6.00 I think I need to try it out for myself!
I did a haul post of my first ever Wet n Wild spend (you can find it here) when it landed on Beauty Bay last year and I loved nearly everything I picked up, so fingers crossed I love the foundation too!

Pixi Fairy Lights
Another beauty-guru enabled wishlist item here, with Pixi's Liquid Fairy Lights. Before watching Tati's favourite beauty products of 2018 these were on my radar but I haven't seen much about them or even swatches. It turns out they are similar to the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows but at the fraction of the cost! They are also currently reduced to only £9 each on Cult Beauty so I have a feeling at least one of the shade will be mine very shortly.
Anyone else a huge fan of super reflective shimmer eyeshadows right now?

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter
ABH isn't a brand I've tried much from, it's mainly been liquid lipsticks and brow products. But what I have tried I've loved and feel they are worthy of the price tag. But I've yet to try any kind of highlighter from Anastasia Beverley Hills and when I do I feel it needs to be the bestselling and consistently sold out Amrezy Highlighter.
Not only is this one stunning highlighter to look at and have without my collection but it's also a product that I know a lot of people treasure and even purchase backups of. I without a doubt don't need any more highlighters but when highlighters are as pretty as this I become weak! So if this stunning compact comes back into stock it will have to be mine this year.

Colourpop
Lastly, more of an entire brand to try in 2019 than one specific product. You see I've been reading rave reviews of Colourpop for the last few years and I've still not tried the brand! I can't say I'm keen on buying internationally due to customs fees, however, at the end of last year Colorpop announced they have incorporated these fees into their shipping costs so UK customers now don't have to fear being hit with an unexpected bill on delivery. This changes things for me so I think I will be keeping an eye on the Colourpop's Instagram account and placing an order when there a sale or discount on, trying out some of their much talked about eyeshadows and lip products.
Do you have any products you want to get your hands on this year? Let me know in the comments!
Fee xo.

The older I get the less I believe in making New year 'resolutions' in the traditional sense. This is mainly because the burnout effect come February of said resolutions is generally all too real for me to believe setting resolutions actually works. We all make such a conscious effort to stick to our resolutions in January that it's the ironic downfall of sustaining them for the following eleven months!
So this January, for the 2nd year, I've decided to set myself positive-focus goals that aim to improve my wellbeing and sense of self-care that I'm much more likely to achieve and enjoy. While these consist of a little reading challenge (find me on Goodreads here!) to even starting a pin collection just for fun, I thought I'd focus on my own beauty-positive goals that I feel could be applied and achieved by anyone for a happier and more confident sense of self in 2019!

I don't know about you but I have my everyday makeup and then I have my 'special occasion' makeup. This isn't on par with that special pair of shoes that you keep in a dust bag and don't want to scuff the bottoms of so you basically don't wear them. But more makeup for evenings and days I want to look and feel my best. This could simply be a dinner out, a special event or of course New Years eve.
When I use said makeup items it feels special and almost like a treat so there has to be something about them that means they have made the cut - think beautiful packaging, limited edition compacts, perfect formulas and finishes and products from my favourite luxury beauty brands!
While this post would be extremely long if I shared the makeup I consider my 'special occasion makeup' I decided to share with you four lipsticks instead that I adore and feel beyond special to me.

If there's ever a time for pampering it's during winter. So this is why I often find myself giving pampering gifts from skincare to bath products and home fragrance at Christmas.
Below I have something for all budgets, from inexpensive body care gift sets to luxury skincare and both high and low-end home fragrance gifts. Even if you are done with your Christmas shopping this year (I applaud you) you may find this gift guide can point you in the right direction for some after Christmas sale shopping!

Let's face it, while some gift guides may help us out in the present buying department for the most part they can often enable 'to me, love me' spending, especially if it's makeup themed!
So while today I wanted to share some of my favourite Christmas gifts from Morphe (there are some amazing ones this year!) as they are December's Cult Beauty Brand of the Month meaning free international delivery, I'm fully aware these are product perfect for treating yourself to or even bookmarking for after Christmas - because who doesn't love a little spend come Boxing Day.

Christmas is here and with less than 30 days until the big day I think we are all project: Christmas shopping right now!
So for the first of a few Christmas gift guides, I wanted to bring you a look at some unique beauty gifts as I feel a lot of gifts and gift sets can be a little generic this time of year. From fun Korean beauty picks to some organic offerings and even a selection of unique wellness gifts that I feel will suit any beauty lover.
Oh, and no gift is over £20 here making it an ultra-affordable gift guide!

When it comes to reviewing beauty boxes I'm fully aware sample sizes, niche brands and random extras such as compact mirrors and makeup sponge wedges simply don't cut it anymore.
We want to know the contents of the beauty box we are buying and we want it to be worth the money! So with this in mind, I don't feature or talk about many beauty boxes these days!
However, when I was introduced to Cosmetips influencer created beauty boxes I was pretty impressed and as I hadn't heard of them before I wanted to share their latest box and its contents with you today. Side note: This is one of the more higher priced boxes however it does come with a massive saving & if like me you have been wanting to try out something from Tatcha, then now is the perfect time with this amazing beauty box.

It's that time of the year again, where I share with you my annual Christmas Wish List. I feel it's become somewhat of a tradition on my blog before the flurry of festive posts and to signal my own festive-mood has kicked in.
It also helps me decide exactly what I'd love to receive, especially for those that ask me what I want!
Please also see this as a kind of gift guide for yourself and others as there are some lovely gift ideas here I think or if not, may just introduce you to brands or websites you've never heard of before. Also, we all know that every gift set imaginable will be discounted the second after Christmas Day so if you truly love something and aren't cheeky enough to ask a family member or friend for it then it's worth earmarking the page to revisit and check the price come the post Christmas sales!
From makeup and skincare (obvs) to books and cosy items, here is my Christmas wish list for 2018!

Up until late last year I was totally new Huda Beauty, in fact, I didn't even know the brand was created by a beauty blogger - I know, where had I been?
But thankfully that all changed when I tried a Huda Beauty liquid lipstick and my first ever eyeshadow palette from the brand and totally fell in love. Fast forward to now and my Huda Beauty eyeshadow palette collection is ever growing as I'm a huge fan of eyeshadow in general and can't get enough of this phenomenal range that is filled with some of the most stunning shades I've ever tried.

While the entire internet (read: Instagram) seems to have a fascination and love for cleaning, us beauty addicts are over here still talking solely about cleaning our makeup brushes! So I thought I'd extend this to all things makeup based as bacteria can harbour in much more than just the fibres of your most used makeup brushes.
From how to clean your dressing table without the smell of bleach to giving your eyelash curlers what will most likely be their first ever clean. I feel I've got your cleaning urges covered with this ultimate guide to cleaning your entire makeup collection!
And yes, this is 100% Mrs Hinch inspired!

In celebration of World Vegan Month this month I wanted to share and highlight just how far the vegan beauty industry has come, making the swap and maintenance of being vegan far easier than ever before.
Past years had seen a compromise on aesthetically pleasing vegan makeup products along with limited ranges but now with amazing brands such as the one I have to share with you today, it's clear to see vegan beauty is booming!

In recent years eyeshadow palettes have totally outshone individual offerings, due to the rise of detailed Youtube eyeshadow tutorials and the clear benefits in price.
For any makeup lover this is a dream come true as we're now spoilt for choice when it comes to both high-end and budget eyeshadow palettes in every shade range, finish and formula you can imagine.
While I'd love to share my own favourite eyeshadow palettes I feel we may be here all day, so I've narrowed it down to five in the best autumnal hues to suit this time of year, even working well into the festive period. Prepare to be amazed at these luscious but budget palettes!

While beauty launches are an everyday occurrence I'm not often that excited about multiple product launches at any one time. But it seems September is the month for them!
So I thought I'd indulge myself and simply talk new makeup with you today, from new to the UK skincare to a grown-up Disney makeup collab (finally!).
But be warned... it's a little eyeshadow palette heavy!

I think there's no hiding the fact Charlotte Tilbury is my favourite makeup brand of all time. Yes, of course, I love so many other brands but ultimately Charlotte Tilbury makeup is my favourite for so many reasons.
So in celebration of my love for CT and the fact Charlotte Tilbury is Cult Beauty's Brand of the Month meaning free worldwide delivery (!!) I thought I would put together a Charlotte Tilbury complexion guide of sorts. Running through what the brand exactly has to offer, my favourite picks - both new & old and what works well for varying skin types.

Somehow it has become a tradition on Makeup Savvy for my first Christmas post of the year to be an overview of the new Zoella Beauty Christmas range. Which I actually can't complain about as I'm always excited for a new Zoella Beauty launch, especially come Christmas.
So with tradition, I picked up a few of my favourite looking gifts and products from the new Zoella Beauty Cosmos Christmas Collection 2018 to talk you through the entire range, share my thoughts on the 'Cosmos' scent and give you an idea of which gifts are worth buying (and maybe avoiding) this year!

When I first started Makeup Savvy (8 whole years ago!) my main focus was to share the sheer amount of beauty bargains and savings that could be found on the high street.
But over the years there's been a shift, with high street prices rising while online retailer offering more discounts and competitive prices than ever before.
Which is why most of my beauty purchases are now made online bar the essentials that I prefer to pick up while food shopping or when popping into the likes of Boots - although the latter often seems a costly affair.
Some of my biggest beauty savings have been found online so in this blog post I wanted to detail them and share the cream of the crop so to speak!

Whether you're on a budget or not there's something alluring about a beauty dupe. Of course, saving money is a huge plus but when you discover something that is beyond similar to a product you have lusted over or have already loved it's like you've come across a gem that most people aren't aware of.
From the most amazing hydrating primer dupe to a palette that will save you ££, I'm running down what in my opinion are the best beauty dupes of 2018 thus far!

Spending on beauty when you already have a cosmetic bag full of makeup can be a luxury affair. Even a 5-minute trip into Boots to stock up on 'essentials' can be a costly these days! Which is why I personally love to seek out bargains where I can, especially when they don't scrimp on quality!
Below I have listed five of my favourite affordable beauty products that definitely don't scrimp on quality both in their formulas and packaging. And to the end of this budget-friendly post, you will find a round-up of my favourite beauty & skincare brands that seem to constantly produce high-quality products as low prices.

If you're a long time reader around here then you will know 'new in' posts don't appear all too often. The reason... 1) I feel there are beauty bloggers more on the pulse than I, namely British Beauty Blogger and Really Ree, and 2) It's not often a whole bunch of new releases catch my attention all at once!
However, over the past few weeks I've been adding to my 'to buy' list ever more to the point I felt like writing a 'new-in/wish list' type post. For the most part, everything here, bar two products, is budget-friendly so if anything does catch your eye it won't hurt your bank balance.
