When it comes to Beauty Boxes there is now an overwhelming amount of choice available. From the classic 'blind' boxes where you only find out the contents when you open the box, to one-off boxes where you know what the contents will be before you click the pay button. And of course, there's subscription versus one-off stand-alone boxes.
For me, the latter style of beauty box simply makes sense which is why the ASOS Beauty Box is one of my favourites, if not my only favourite. You know what the contents will be and there's zero commitment - perfect!

Makeup gift sets make amazing gifts to give come Christmas and Birthday's but I've found I actually pick up quite a few for myself when the save in there. Of course, this happens in the Boxing Day sales but I always have my eyes peeled the rest of the time.
In the past, I've picked up some amazing value beauty gift sets along with skincare sets that have allowed me to discover more from brands I love or simply offer such a good saving I can't refuse them. Also, there are times when I'm planning on picking up a product but it's actually more worth picking up the product in a gift set for a little extra.
So this week I wanted to share with you the best value makeup gift sets for 2019. Granted there will be lots of new gift sets launched towards the end of the year in time for Christmas but you will find most of the mentioned gift sets here are either on sale or simply amazing value.
If you didn't know already ASOS have their own beauty box and for the most part, it's pretty good! I've purchased quite a few since they launched over a year ago now and find it's a great way to make a good saving on beauty products I generally want to try out!
Curated beauty boxes have certainly come a long way since the OG of beauty box subscriptions; Birchbox, first coming on the scene in 2010. Now much like novelty Christmas jumpers every brand seems to be doing them! Which to be honest I feel is only a good thing!
Why? Because a lot don't do them well. I'm talking inclusion of obscure beauty brands you can pick up in your own country (the frustration when you want to buy the product full size?!), beyond miniature samples and repeat brands in monthly subscription boxes (just zzz). So I really believe we need choice so that we can pick the cream of the crop!
For example the new ASOS Beauty Box... which I totally didn't see coming, until I received an email about it and bought in 2 minutes flat!
